So here is a trusted way to do the boot able removable disk storage in case you want to install the desired OS on to your computer. Obviously you can trust the command prompt you get on Windows distribution.

Steps to make a removable storage boot able:

  1. Open the command prompt on Windows PC (Simply click on the Command prompt by searching it on your desktop screen or press Windows+R keys and type "cmd" in the box and hit enter)
  2. Type the command "diskpart" and hit enter.
  3. After getting into the diskpart window type "list disk" and hit enter. You will get a result listing the disks available on the PC and then just find out the removable storage.
  4. Type "select disk [disk number of the desired storage]". As an example type "select disk 1" or "select disk 2".
  5. You will get the certain disk selected by the cmd window showing the disk is selected in output. After this type "clean". It will erase all the available data on that disk and clean the storage media. Make sure that you get a proper backup for the files and documents written on that removable storage.
  6. Type the command "create partiton primary" and press enter key.
  7. After cmd creates the primary partition type the command "active" and enter.
  8. now the primary partition is an active partition and we would be formatting the volume as NTFS for DOS based OS(s) like windows. Enter the command "format fs=NTFS quick" and hit the enter key. Sitback and relax, wait till the command finishes the formatting. after it is finished showing 100 percent completed, just close the window and the paste the files directly on to the removable storage.
Here you can get a clean view. diskpart>>>list disk>>>select disk 1>>>clean>>>create partition primary>>>active>>>format fs=NTFS quick
And now you can boot up your PC from the tiniest ever removable storage.
